I am looking for any information on my ancestor "Lester Elmer" I believe he was in Grand Marais Twp., Cook Co., in 2010. His wife is believed to been named Nattie. I have no idea if they had children. I have no idea if he was married, when he might have came to Cook Co. or if/when he left or died there. Lester was born in 1870 to Rufus & Mary Ann Venard in Alcona Co., Hawes Twp., Michigan & is the uncle to my grandmother Bertha "Elmer" Pinder.

My great-great grandfather died at the age of 60+ on February 22, 1872 at Beaver Bay, MN and is buried at Grand Portage, MN. He went by the names of Joseph (MORRISSEAU) MORRISON (SONGAKAMIK). He was living in the Nipigon-Thunder Bay of Ontario, Canada and I thought that since he died in the area, that he may have been born there. I have no records of his birth date or place of birth. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find this type of information. He was married to a Marguerite CARGOMACINS and I know of one child Antoine MORRISSEAU born about 1838. (My mother was a MORRISSEAU.) Thank you

I have a note in my family research that there is a probate of a will for John TEBERG. Dated 6 May 1927. Can anyone tell me if this is on micro film? If yes is it possible to rent the micro film? Or does one have to visit the courthouse and read the probate in person? Thank you for any information.

I am searching for an Anna McCORMICK who married ?? HUSSEY. An Anna HUSSEY nee McCORMICK bought land in 1902 at 4th PM, 61N, 2E,1 at the Duluth Land Office. A John J. HUSSEY, born 1853 in Canada, his wife (Rose) Anna born Canada 1865 and their family are in the 1900 census for Hovland and in the 1910,1920 and 1930 census for Grand Marais. The eldest child John Thomas was born September 6,1896 at Colvill, Cook Co. so I expect Anna and John were married about 1895 in or near Cook Co.
The Social Security death index shows a Rose Anna HUSSEY born
06/29/1864 - out of state - who died 01/11/1957 in Cook County. What I want to confirm is that this Anna HUSSEY is the correct one (nee McCORMICK) but so far I have not found anything giving her maiden name or confirming that the Anna who bought land is the same Anna in the census married to John. Any and all
help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for descendants of Gerhard Amandus (Amaud) CRYSTAD who was born April 3, 1877 in Flakstad, Lofoten, Norway. Mr. Crystad died in approximately 1931. According to ancestry.com, Mr. Crystad was a naturalized citizen and had a WWI Civilian Draft

I am looking for VENSLAND in Cook County, MN. My great-uncle Martin VENSLAND lived there and was married to Ester ANDERSON and Kelly (surname unknown). These two women are buried in Tofte Cemetery. I do not know if they had children. I have not found a record of Martin's death, however. He was also married to Lois (surname unknown). I am searching for his descendants and more information about his marriages.

My uncle Carl Stroschaen lived at Cook on an acreage in the 1940's. He passed away probably in the 1950's I think. His first wife was Ann, 2nd Doris. I am trying to find information on him. He had no children. Thanks
